Blood sugar readings

I am not sure on how to use this site as the reading are read differently. I need to keep my sugar between 4 and 8 anything over 10 is getting high. Why can't they all be the same.

In the US, BG is measured by milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl), while in Canada and many other countries a different scale is used millimole per liter (mmol). It would be easier if we all measured the same way. (The same argument holds for miles vs kilometers, pounds vs kilos, Fahrenheit vs Centigrade and all of the languages we speak…but back to blood glucose measurements) Some time back, Mays started a discussion with a link to convert readings from one type to the other…here's the address of that discussion: Hope that helps reduce some of the frustration!
