Hello, Everyone.
My name is Laura and I've been a diabetic for about ten years. Up until this point I was controlling my diabetes by diet and oral medication. A number of stressful events occurred and my health took a backseat. Now that I've gone on the wagon again so to speak…I've been finding it more difficult to get back into control. My doctor put me on insulin today and I should also mention that I suffer from a medication phobia so taking a new form of medication is so hard for me. I don't want to take the insulin. I want to just work harder. Up the days in the gym, work out the carb consumption a lot better…try harder and maybe by my next visit (Which is in 4 weeks…) I won't need the insulin because I'm going in the right direction. Is there anyone that feels this way?

welcome to DC, I am very glad to be taking insulin, without it I would be a pretty sick ole girl. I don't mind taking injections, but starting this week I will be wearing a pump. and really looking forward to it.
Keep up the good work.
