I am upset. I was filling my cartridge with insulin for my pump. The tube popped up and I wasted roughly about 200 units of insulin. Insulin isn't cheap and it's hard to have any to spare. I hope this was the first and last for me. I have the animas ping pump with the 2 mL cartridges. Has this happened before to anyone ?

One time I forgot to rewind my pump. and as I tried to push the cartridge in it started spraying everywhere. Oops… lol

That's good that you got a replacement. I must of imagined the frustration. I my room still smells like insulin lol. How long have you been a diabetic Shelly?

I was diagnosed in 2001 but had been showing symptoms for a long time before that. Most of my early teens and even through junior high. So about 10 years prior to the official diagnosis. Diabetes does not run in my family so my symptoms were always explained and treated as other issues.

I dropped a brand new vial on a tile floor before. Busted all over the place. Luckily I was able to get a replacement vial from my doctor. :)
