I just ate subway, I do all the time. But this time I had a flatbread. Anyway. It's been an hour and my BG is 263. I had the same sandwich I always do and shot for 40 carbs. Can I correct?? Or should I wait longer?? I never run over 150…I feel like hell.

Well it sounds like your insulin did its job. I have CGM so I can watch what my sugar is doing at all times. I usually don't spike into the 200's 1 hour after a meal but it does happen sometimes, like tonight and I had chicken, broccoli, and a small portion of red potatoes so, I have no clue why I spiked that high. But as long as it comes right back down it's good. :-) Yay!

Well it takes 3 hours or so for the bolus insulin to be used up. So it should go down into a decent range by then. If i was still around 150 after 3 hours I'd probably do a correction.

Tonight for dinner my sugar spiked into the 200 range but it's coming down nicely now. I ate at 4:30 and I'm at 123 now at 6:40. Same thing happened yesterday weird. I only correct if it doesn't come down within 2 -4 hours after eating.

I tried Subway once (with the flatbread) and I shot up also…just cant have that bread. I still go occasionally I just ask them to make a salad without the bread.
