Are there support group meetings to attend? I very much appreciate this site and will continue to seek information, however, I'm just wondering about actual meeting held in your respective areas.

You may also wish to contact your local hospital(s) since many support groups are affiliated with them or meet there. Sorry…I just re-read Jeanette's response below and she suggested the same thing…if you indicated where you live, others might be able to give you more specifics about local support groups.

Unfortunately we haven't been able to coordinate in person support groups associated with this Diabetic Connect. However, I do know there are many areas that have diabetes support groups. You can look up your local ADA office online to see if they have any near you. I am sure there are others associated with hospitals and local health clinics in some areas too.

I am not one for support groups. However, there are some around depending on where you live. You can type diabetic support groups with your city or state and you will find them.

I go to Diabetes Sisters once a month. I love it! It has really helped me to connect with a group. I'm considering starting a support group in my area. I live in a very rural area and have to travel an hour ti go to the support group, but some people are unable to or don't want to travel that far. https://diabetessisters.org/ here is a link to the site. You can check the list and see if there is something available near you.
