One of my favorite snacks in the world is popcorn. But when I eat it, measure it out and all my blood sugar is high afterwards every time. Does anyone else have this problem at all and what do you do about it?

I have the same problem so I had to give up eating it three years ago. I like some of the suggestions here. They're worth a try.

Yes, corn of any kind will send my blood sugar soaring.

I found some Amish grown corn on the cob last time I went to the grocery store so I got 4 for hubby and I. I had one on Saturday and one on Sunday. It was sooooo good!

I grew some in my garden this year, but it's corn for making meal or hominy from. I just have to find the lime so I can slack it. I don't know where to get it.

I avoid corn like the plague. regardless of the form or quantity it always sends my BGL through the roof.

Try eating Popcorn along with high fiber food; because studies shows that fiber will slow down the digestion & absorption of carb. Thus, you can enjoy popcorn with much blood sugar spikes.

Pop corn is high in carbs. So is Corn on the Cob and I love them both.
Corn is high sugar and heard that is the bad carbs. I pop my corn in a paper lunch bag and then when it is done I just add a little real butter. Guess when we eat it we really do need to walk it off as much as possible. Good Luck

I eat popcorn all the time. 1 cup is about 5 carbs. It will raise your BG because its a carb. Measure and medicate appropriately. Or have a cup or two and go for a good walk after.

I haven't had popcorn since my diagnosis 2 years ago. I guess I don't miss it too much. I always thought it smelled way better than it tasted and I hated getting kernels stuck in my teeth.

I love popcorn. Corn, however does not love me. I do still eat it from time to time and I make it from scratch. I use coconut oil to pop it in and I also use butter...yep, real butter. The fat in those help slow down the carbs of the pop corn, but I still have to be very careful. And it's hard...did I say I love popcorn?

I stopped eating popcorn and snack on nuts instead (not the honey-roasted kind) Emerald is a brand that makes cocoa-roast and cinnamon roast almonds that are sweetened with Splenda and only have 6 grams of carb per 1/4 cup serving.
