My A1C test, came out to 7.6. I am on Glyburide, I watch what I eat, I do not understand why so high. Guess I just have to work on it harder. I have been moving in the pool for 30 minutes 3 times a week. I am open for suggestions. Open for meal plans. I can not eat too much salads, veg, I have to watch my IBS. If I eat a peach, or banana, sugar goes sky high. I know your not all medical staff, but, open for ideas? I am on low income, can not afford any extra money for diet groups.
Thanks, diabetic friends.

Fruit, especially bananas, are high on the glycemic index- they're full of BG raising carbs. Google low glycemic diets and see if it helps. My a1c was 6.7…down from 18.9 six months earlier.

When you say you watch what you eat, what does that mean? can you give us a sample of a typical days foods?

A few things I can think of – med needs some adjusting, aren’t cutting carbs enough, eating too much (portion size really matters even if it’s better food), or waiting too long between feedings. Of course your body does need time to adjust to changes too.
