Many of you have asked me how James is and what has happened to him. He's been sorely missed on the site. His input is always helpful. I sent him an email to ask if we could post an update for him and he said sure. Here is what he had to share:
Of course post so that ppl know that I am OK. I pretty much am kept indoors due to the heat (usually 100 - 115 f) and go out only to go to dialysis (still M W F in the evenings {after 6 pm} for 4 hrs) so I avoid going out in the heat of the day. I also go to church every Sunday and then go shopping after that for a couple hrs. I still am using the Paratransit system here in the LV valley as I let my car go for a number of reasons. I get along OK using the paratransit system.

Actually I am loving the heat as I have hypothroid and if the temp gets below about 75 f, I begin to shiver. Sometimes in the winter here I can put on double sweaters and sweat pants and jump in bed, cover myself with 2 or 3 comforters, and still shiver for 2 or 3 hrs. Not looking forward to winter at all.

As far as prayers are concerned, I thank God that I have dialysis to help me manage my Kidney disease, and I pray that that may be available and affordable in the future! I worry a bit about the change which is coming via Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and the various Dialysis providers seem to be worried that payments will be lowered for those of us on Dialysis. (see ~ http://links.mkt1275.com/servlet/MailView?ms=... )

All I can do is keep on keeping on, until I can't do it anymore and then I go to be with my Jesus and my Jem.
Share your thoughts and prayers here and I will send them on to him every so often to encourage him. Thanks to you all.

Thank you Gabby for taking the time to get in touch with James for us and thank you for posting his response for us.

Hello James. Please know that I miss you dearly and will keep you in my prayers. I I miss the very informative advice and incite you offer into how to and how you deal with this disease. Many of us have taken parts of what works for you and have made it work for us. My hope is that we will see you posting here again but my prayer is that you are able to keep up with your treatments and continue to do what is best for you. Be blessed my friend.

Thank you. He is very special. I had so many people asking me where he was and how he was doing. That's why we decided to do it this way. He is still in good spirits, just in need of our encouragement.

Hi Gabby- Next time you email James, please let him know that my mom passed away in June from renal failure due to uncontrolled Diabetes. He had been helping me through with my questions about dialysis and diet, and was very helpful, and I appreciate and miss him to talk to. I am glad he's still on his dialysis and hopefully doing well, and I have thought about him very much since he has not been on. He is so great to talk to and so helpful.

I am so sorry to hear about his mother. My daddy passed away 5 1/2 years ago and it still feels like yesterday. My heart goes out to him.

Actually, the loss was grannisophie's mom. Just make it clear. I know what you mean though about the loss of a parent. I lost my dad in 1997 and it doesn't seem that long ago.

hello JB, I too have the problem with the cold(get shivers as well), during the winter months I use a hairdryer to warm the sheets on my bed. It does help.

Thank you for the update, Gabby. I was wondering where James had got off to.

James, Hi glad to hear you are staying out of that LV heat. I was there in July and it was close to 120 every day we were there. Hang in there!!
We miss you wise words.

Gabby - You are an angel. Not just for this, but in how you have chosen to live your life in giving to others like this! It reminds me of my Savior Jesus… Be encouraged sweet sister, you are making a difference!

Jaybee - We haven't talked much, but when we have, you have truly given great insight and help. Please know that you are in my prayers. Thanks for being 'salt and light' in a world that is, at times, so very dark and tasteless. Your posts have been missed by 1000's of us. Be blessed, and we look forward to your future posts. Our church's, indeed our world, could use more Jaybee's and Gabby's around!

so y isnt Jaybee talking directly to his friends. that would be so much cooler. Hi there Jaybee…I've been away from this site for ages myself. Just thought of dropping by. I am not a praying person but I do wish u all the best.

He has a hard time getting onto the computer. I think he doesn't have one and has to go to the library to get on. So he is not here like he used to be and a lot of people were missing him.

Thanks Gabby!!!!! I've been communicating with James via his direct email & he still has a very positive attitude, which is VERY important. I didn't realize he was so sensitive to heat & cold. Since he's such a serious/committed Christian, I've been sending him various motivational/inspirational Bible Scriptures & a link to Andrew Wommack's teaching ministry web site http://www.awmi.net/ . Andrew has a 4 part series of teachings entitled "God Wants You Well" & I pray that helps James. It sure has helped me as I've seen (my wife & others) & experienced (myself) instant healing miracles from God.

James' faith & attitude is such an inspiration to me & I'm sure to others. He is "keeping on keeping on" but has the advantage of his Christian faith involving the Almighty God. Nothing is impossible with God. Mark 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
