This is sassymam and I need help getting my numbers lower some days are good and other days bad. I'm not on insulin but I need 2 lose the weight I think if I could lose at least 30-50 lbs My numbers would drop dramtically. Is it watching Carbs or counting calories. I have started walking a little each day and that little bit of exercise has helped some what. I do have a bad back so I have 2 watch how much exercise I do without over doing

It's actually not the diet necessarily, but rather how many calories you can burn off everyday. Check this out: http://bit.ly/1cQZaNV

It's from healthtap.com and hopefully it answers your question. If not, you can ask others doctors for free on healthtap and they'll get back to you in a couple of hours. Good luck!

It's is carbs! I'm currently taking a diabetes education class. The advice given there is to eat 3, 40 to 60 carb Meals per day and 2,25 carb snacks a day.
Avoid processed foods as much as you can. :-)
