So like every other girl I worry about my weight. I am not one to put myself in danger so I do not do the who diabulima, but I do want to loose 20-25 pounds. I am 5 foot 3inches and I weigh 159 pounds, so I can do this and not be underweight since I am 'technically' over weight. I wear size 11 pants, I'd like to be able to wear size 7. And I do believe it would help me control my diabetes. No matter what it is important to exercise but it's so boring and I have no one to do it with. Running is hard even though I know I should jog about everyday since I don't do much anyways…any help or ideas with this process?

Exercise is definitely important! We must keep moving - whether it's walking, running, yoga, or whatever (I am a huge fan of the Wii Fit too!). It is also important to remember that food is fuel for our bodies. I recently read a eye opening book, 'The Truth About Fat Burning Foods' (http://fatburningfoodfacts.com) that has really helped me to take some of the weight off - when exercise alone was not working. I THOUGHT I was eating well! Anyhow, good luck and stay motivated!

I love to workout to music. in the Fall or spring late in evening, I walk with the IPod I have a treamill for hot weather and rainy days, you can set them for inclines, or do a different low impact aerobic routine every day. To start, if you aren't used to exercising, start out with Denise Austin's Fit and Lite routines on You Tube. there is about a 5 min or so yoga, then fat burners of 5-7 mins, then toners then more yoga, and it is easy and not strenuous. Then work up to longer routines. The Wii Fit Plus is fun too. It may not burn as many calories or as fast, but it is a great way to learn yoga routines, and there is strength training too.

Just plain old walking about an hour a day and watching my food intake worked for me. Had to have my music though to keep it from getting boring.

If you have an iPhone - there is a zombie running app that's quite entertaining. I agree it's boring so I started tennis - I now play 3 hours a day!
