Hi nick im feeling good about this change and i know i can do it no more bad or giving up days ;)
Hey soniac, with that attitude there’s no doubt you’ll be successful. There will be bad days, but don’t beat yourself up over them. On the good days, remember to give yourself a mental pat on the back too!
Congrats on taking that first step! It gets so much easier with each one you take from now on, I promise.
Silvie some drs just dont care for their pts i had to change mine bcuz of my insurance and all she told me was stop eating so much i had to figure it out on my own.its a hard and bad disease but if we give up it will just kill us so staying positive is best to do …thanks:)
Thanks sandy its a small process but im sure doing it right we will have good results
That's Awesome!! I was diagnosed two years ago. I remember being so overwhelmed by the carb counting and what to eat and what not to eat. I had one doc. actually tell me just don't eat anything white or that comes in a bag or a box. :-/ Wow! How's that for D. Education? Anyway, I decided to educated myself about diet and nutrition and carb counting. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to learn.
I really enjoy eating healthy whole foods and I really don't miss the junk food. I do miss eating chocolate randomly, but I still treat myself occasionally. Diabetes is indeed an everyday struggle and feels like such a heavy burden to carry sometimes. But it has also been a great teacher. I have learned and grown so much since I was handed this challenge.
I'm so glad to hear your positive take it on attitude. Just keep on the path and love yourself. Be compassionate and patient with yourself.
Peace,
silvie mae :-)
Great job! It's a tough road but we do have it in us to succeed. I've done the same thing since last September and I've lost 55lbs. You can do it!!
Thanx :)
