Does anyone suffer with additional troubles besides diabetes? I know this disease doesn't always come by itself.
If you do how do you keep a positive outlook?

I am pretty sure an anti anxiety medication gave me type 1. And I am forever upset about this. But I have a friend that has diabetes too and his outlook is.. "My whole family is really unhealthy and overweight , if I didn't have diabetes I wouldn't be forced to stay in the best shape I possibly can and feel great and look great, if I didn't have it I would be unhealthy and miserable like my siblings. " his outlook is that it was a gift to him. And he is in good shape and is healthy because he takes care of himself more then the average person with no illness who will eventual run into something.

I see and understand his point. To be diabetic we have to be extra careful about our health. Sometimes we end up better than the AVERAGE JOE. With the anxiety Joan, its not a fun thing to deal with, I understand. I deal with that on a daily basis. How I reduce anxiety if its really bad. I find my favorite song. I remember a good thing Ive done for myself. It doesnt have to be big. Even an accomplishment of an A1C of 6.9 is something to cheer about.
