In many cases, we do have a choice regarding the way we see our diabetes. In my case, I believe that having diabetes resulted in my learning how to eat a healthy diet, and exercise more. More than likely, I had what you could call an awakening thanks to my diabetes. So, there is a positive side to having diabetes, and maybe that's what I needed to avoid a lifestyle and diet that would have led to poor health.

What a wonderfully written article! I have never been married. Yet, the analogy worked on me…your husband is a very lucky man indeed! In my spinsterhood, the only thing my cat companion cares about is his own food…you people are so blessed to have each other!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I thought it made its point well also. And thanks Jesse's derby, we are very lucky to have each other, although I have to admit there are some tough ups and down challenges to overcome!
