Hello everyone! I just downloaded this app and I love it! I have type 1 and was diagnosed in 2005 at the age of 24. At first I was mad and felt like "why did this happen to me?". But I quickly realized it could have always been worse and I can manage this!

I'm excited I've found a community of support and I'm looking forward to posting my experiences with differnt pumps and gadgets. (I love my gadgets!)

He Sadie! I have my good days and my bad days like everyone but I try not to limit myself and don't cut out the foods I love. I try to always remind myself that I'm human and we all still need to enjoy everyday.

How do you keep such a positive attitude about diabetes. I was diagnosed at eleven years old and still don't have control at 21

Welcome to DC! It's a great site for info and support. I was diagnosed at age 27 and am now 64. Just started pumping 2 years ago and kicking myself for having resisted it so long. Sounds like you're approaching and handling your diabetes responsibly and reasonably. Accepting responsibility for controlling our condition is vital to ensuring a good quality of life.
