Constant lows

My blood sugar has been in the 60s for the last couple of hours. I've gone through four juices and a few handful of chips and it just won't come up. It's getting frustrating and I'd like to sleep. It's past midnight and I'm exhausted. But one of my biggest fears is going low in my sleep and not waking up(sometimes I didn't wake up when I went low in the past and thankfully my mother was checking up on me and noticed something was wrong).

I agree to eat both carbs and protein. Protein takes longer to digest so will help while you sleep. Maybe adjust the time you take your meds. Talk to your doctor about the extended lows. You do not need an appointment to reach out. Call their office and ask for a call back. Your Doctor may adjust your medicine to a slightly lower dose. It is so important to communicate but don't wait…give that call now.

I have an insulin pump. I download the results weekly, sometimes every other week, and they adjust from there.

Well you educated me. I am type II. Yet if there is a concern like the one you just had, No reason not to pick up the phone. You should not have to wait even if its a week or a few days. This is and you are Important!

I would try something like a peanut butter sandwich and milk. (Protein and carb helps it stick). Other than that, you can always try investing in glucose tabs, they work great :)
