I am a strong believer that your mind controls your body. I am sure most of you were told you were a diabetic then given literature about perhaps started on medications and/or insulin. Has anyone ever asked you why you believe you have this illness? I am going to also say I know there is no one thing that can help everyone but it will not hurt. The book, You can heal your life, by Louise Hay. Is changing my life. I hope it can help others as well.

No one's ever asked me that question. I developed my Type 1 diabetes because something triggered an auto-immune response in my body destroying the beta cells in my pancreas. At the time, 34 years ago, I was in a stressful job and was in the process of divorcing my husband, increasing my stress. I'm glad that Louise Hays' book is helping you take control of your life. As diabetics, we must find the strength in ourselves to make the right and often difficult decisions to control our condition…no one else can do it for us. It takes a commitment to learn as much as we can about diabetes and how it affects us. Once we acquire that knowledge, it takes determination to properly eat and exercise and work with our medical team to achieve better results. Wishing you well!
