Hi all,

Has anyone ever tried the nutrarian diet? It's a vegan diet, but packed with foods that are highly nutrient dense, with low calories. Uses lots of green veggies, fruit, nuts and seeds. I have just started it and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

Hi Audge,

I read a book called "The End of Diabetes" by Joel Fuhrman, MD. He talks about eating nutrient dense foods like vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds. He makes a lot of sense. I am not strictly following his diet or recipes, simple because I can't afford all the produce! BUT, I am buying what I can, mostly kale, broccoli, leeks, and berries, and trying to follow his guidelines. So far, I have had good results. I was having MAJOR digestive issues on the Atkins diet, and my weight loss had stalled. Now I feel better, my issues are almost gone, and I'm losing weight again. I heartily recommend reading that book!

I have not personally
But know someone who is doing the vegan
Diet and they have blowed up like a balloon
Don't know what they're doing wrong
But I'm staying far away from it
Good luck and do your research

Thanks Tammy. I am doing really well, and my blood sugar has been phenomenal! I am not strictly vegan, I do eat meat in a small amount on occasion, and also eggs and cheese. But for the most part, I have been following this plan for three weeks now and I feel great!
