Hello… I am looking for new diabetic friends to help me understand life with diabetes better and to help me with motivation and guidance and just moral support if and when I need it. I'd also be there for you too when you needed it. Just joined this group so I'm still learning how this all works…

hey —be brave—think positive, Type 2 is lot easy to control then Type 1. Wish you are in Atlanta. I just came back from New York..one of relative had breast cancer —surgery and started Chemo —it will be for only 8 treatments —but good things is that — they also give booster shot next day —instead of antibiotic —to control infection — increase production of RBC from bone
marrow. she is doing great —can't tell —if you did … stop eating Meat, Sugar and Crabs ——more fruits and vegies —also get Vitamin C supplements from health food store. take care

Hi Chelsea. Are you new to the community? How about diabetes? How long have you had it? There are a lot of wonderful people on this site, very informed. Diabetes is such a complicated thing, I learn new things all the time. It isn't easy being diabetic, but it can be worked around. Holidays and birthdays are rough, and sometimes eating out, too. Especially where I live. It seems like everyone wants to bread everything or put sauces on the food. And of course, I love burgers and fries and all the stuff I shouldn't eat. But even this can be worked around. It can get pretty daunting at times, but the more you learn the easier it is. This site has great recipes. I usually end up tweaking them a bit, but they are still good, and the variety is great. I get tired of cooking the same thing all the time. I am having trouble with my computer right now. We just changed from Yahoo to Google so maybe it will be better. So if you try to friend me and it doesn't work, keep trying, and I will too. You can probably tell I am very computer illiterate. So everytime Yahoo changed their layout, it messed me up bad. So we will try someone else. Talk at ya later. Liquorish

Welcome, and ask away. There is no stupid question. Remember that diabetes is different for each person. What works for me might not work for you.

I don't understand it either! Not the diabetes or how this group works. But I have been here for a few months now and I feel a great kinship with everyone. I will try to help in any way possible! It is about learning and keeping your self well!
