Recent checkup was very good.

Saw the Diabetic nurse today for my monthly checkup and had good report. My last A1C was 9.6, today it was 7.4 and had lost five pounds since my last visit a month ago. Three months ago decided to see what cutting my base dose of 22 units Humalog & sliding scale, and only keeping carb count, and upping dose of Victoza to 1.8. I've lost ten pounds and A1C I gave above. Seems this is working. Lantus of 100 units still the same.

I don't eat much: breakfast is only a 5oz cup of Greek Yorgut. Lunch is a 3 egg cheese omelet with peppers. And dinner is a Romaine salad. No wheat products of bread & pasta or brown rice. But hey, it's working!

Glad you got some good news. Hope the changes you made continue to help. Cutting down (I still find some wheat listed on food labels in my grocery cart) has seemed to help me.
