I recently wrote a review of a study that examined purchasing habits of people to get the real story behind what foods people are actually buying and eating. You can read more about it here:

I know I am a victim of lying when the doctor asks how my eating habits are. I just hate to hear him tell me I should stop eating cake or other bad for you delicious items. It turns out that many people do it. So let's just put it all out on the table… do you lie to your doctor when it comes to what you are really eating? This is a safe place, no one is going to judge you. And if they do, then they are crazy cause we all have been there in a time of weakness when you just can't pass up that box of donuts :)

No need to lie—anything we do is our own responsibility —- control eating —cookies, cakes and soft drinks — will power is best at work. I had stopped eating pizza for 18 months and now stopped eating processed —canned food for over a year now. Stopped soft drinks —even diet coke from one a day to one a week.

I think that the Dr. Knows if you're lying by your results of your A1c, but I believe that a lot of people do lie when they see their Dr. My Dr. And I have a good relationship, I've tried to take care of myself, but when my BG numbers rise for whatever reason, and it's nit what I ate, I do tell him, maybe I should have eaten the pizza, it seems like it wouldn't matter. I do this jokingly, but I don't think I've lied about what I eat.

I don't lie to my doctor I just don't tell him the truth
And I'm lucky because he hasn't asked !
But I think 99.910% a person does cheat hey we're human!
And I hate to say it one day we will pay the ultimate price for doing it!
