I am currently unemployed. I have no schedule. I have a cat who leaps on my head in the wee hours . I have a tenant who screams regularly at 2:30 in the morning. Earplugs help. I enjoy the bird song at 5:30 a.m. However…my sleep is way way way out of wack! I sometimes nap during the day. I know it is affecting my sugar levels. Any help on this?

I keep on a schedule, pretty much for me. Makes me feel better and I'm all for that! My daily routines stay a priority with me, everything else works around it.

I guess the most sensible and natural thing for me to do is put myself on a schedule. Sort of mimic a workday. This is what I had to do while recovering from back surgery to keep myself from getting out of whack.
Wake up at whatever hour you pick, do your laundry, grocery shopping, clean, or even just go out and walk, but try to fill 8 hours with some type of activity. It’s tough, but going to the library 3 times a week and studying up on a topic you’ve always wanted to is an option, or sitting down and taking a stab at writing a book is another. Don’t forget, there’s tons of places looking for volunteers as well.
The cat needs to get a schedule as well. If it can’t stay away during your sleeping hours, it needs to be kept out of the room.
Just my 2 cents.
