I am 64 and have (hopefully) traversed menopause. Night Sweats could be caused by low blood sugar (as well as by menopause)…so, it's important to test your BG when you're having the night sweat to verify your BG and. if low, take the appropriate action. I had episodes, a few years back ,where the sheets became actually drenched due to seriously low BG. Luckily, I haven't experienced these in several years…maybe because I'm older, maybe because I started using an insulin pump 2 years ago, or maybe a combination of factors…part of the challenge of being a gal with diabetes…you're not alone!

I have hot flashes (I'm also sensitive to heat) and night sweats occasionally without lows. I asked my doctor about it, and she ordered lab tests to check my adrenaline levels, and to see if I may be going into early menopause. I was cleared for both, so I still don't really know why it happens.

Hmm I have the same issue but did not realize it was related to my D. I will have to check my bg when this happened again tonight.

I also have terrible night sweats due to low blood sugar overnight. I find it helps to have a few TownHouse Wheat Crackers with peanut butter on top and a small glass of milk before bed. It has totally stopped the night sweats! Good luck to you. Take care :)
