It effects me but in a silly way. I have a new model of a continuous monitor …Dexcom something or other. I really like it! But the transmitter is ridiculous! I look like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix! I think I'm going to take it out for the summer, beside being in my swimsuit, summer is my friskiest time of the year. I guess all that working out for a bikini body gets the blood flowing & you feel sexier. BUT I HATE THAT THING STUCK ON MY BELLY! Trying too steer the attention from my pooch & I have a flippin transister radio attached to it. Ugh! And then I feel so stupid for even complaining when other people's diseases cause them to lose their hair. :-(

Am I less of a "hot chick" than I used to be…you betcha! Is it because of my diabetes or just a result of aging?…who knows? My hubby is a wonderful guy but has never been very demonstrative, verbally or otherwise…this could be a factor. He is 70 and I'm 64…he's slowing down too but is still interested and I don't care much if I get any…so, we have slowed down but still DO IT.. just not as often. (He doesn't have diabetes) When it started to hurt me, I asked my doctor for help and she prescribed Premarin cream for me which has made the pain go away. I do wish I could have my 64 year old experience and sense of self back in a 25 year old body…wouldn't that be wild and fun!

if you take care of your diabetes the way you should there probably won't be problems, except those that are normal with growing older
