Hi All. I'm going to ride my bike for the Tour De Cure in Utah this weekend. I wanted to know if anyone else has done one of these rides? Has anyone done any Diabetes awareness events? If so, which do you think are the best and which do you think are the most worthwhile in terms of getting funds into the right researchers hands?

My butt is gonna hurt after riding 100mi!

Thanks,
CMC

Bless your heart and good luck to you! I'd have to opt for one of those big plush bike seats. People would probably laugh at me but my tush would appreciate it. Lol

BTW - I am riding for Alliance Health (owners of Diabetic Connect). We've got 5 riders and numerous volunteers who will be at the event in UT this weekend. So if you or anyone you know will be there, please find one of us - we'll be wearing AH jerseys and t-shirts! We'd love to meet you!

Last question . . . you have no control of where the money goes once you hand it over, so it's not worth wondering about which hands are the "right hands"

Smoke - (I like the "Friday" reference) I believe this one starts in Brigham City, north of Ogden. So you know, you can ride any distance from 25-100. I bet you are in shape enough to do 25! Fear not though, there will be another chance to hit the road for Diabetes soon.
