Are there any diabetics out there in their teens or early twenty's?? I'm 19 and I don't know anyone from my generation with diabetes. It's kind of lonely. If you are add me as a friend !! I need some of those.

I'm 33 but got T1 when I was 18 just as I was starting college…it was a tough time as the social scene revolved around partying and unhealthy eating!! It's tough but hang in there - it does get better…Any questions, feel free to ask me as I've been there and knew no other diabetics the same age as me at the time!

I am 26, and I know just what you mean! I feel like most diabetics are kids or older people. Hang in there!

Hey girl!! I have had type 1 for 13 going on 14 years now I'm 22 and I know what you mean it can feel lonely at times and then you meet someone that has your type around your age and you instantly connect.

Hi! I know exactly how it feels to be young and have to dealwith the diabetes and everything that comes with it. I got diabetes when I was 14, so it's been a few years to get use to it, but it can still be hard sometimes. I know how you feel!

I'm 34 so I consider myself young but definitely not as young as you. I've seen a few early 20 something's post here so hopefully you can connect with some. One thing about being younger with diabetes is that you have a strong incentive to take care of yourself!
