Today my doctor has me taking insulin. It is solostar lantus. She still wants me to take pills too.I am so scared of getting low blood sugar.Starting out at 30 units.I hope I don't have to stay on insulin all the time.

Lantus is a long lasting insulin. Much less of a chance going low. I started out T2 with pills, then lantus and novolog for a while. turns out I am T1 and now on a pump. I know how you feel about not wanting to stay on insulin, but if it is going to save your life, isn't it worth it?
