Blood sugar control medications that don't require an additional medication

I take Glyb/Metformin to control my blood sugar and to keep it from damaging my kidneys I also take Lisinopril. Is there a blood sugar medication that won't damage your kidneys and/or you don't have to take an additional medication with

If there is. I don't know of one. I am on Actos 30mg., which is supposed to keep your kidneys healthy, Gluccotrol, and Januvia. Have been on Januvia about two months. Seems to be control the blood sugar pretty well.

What is your glucose score!!! over 100 or what.. mine is 144 and l have just been diagnozed as a diabetic,and no medicine as of yet,, l have to have another glucose reading in July and we will go from there,, pls let me know,, thanx,,Phyllis @ boorodie2@msn.com small

For the past 6 months I atke Glipizide along with my insulin and it's a winning combination for me.

Unfortunately, taking only 1 pill and I've tried them all, did not work at all, I ended up on insulin shots. Now I have to keep taking the insulin, bht the Glipizide, which I take twice a day, works well.
