I take Glyb/Metformin to control my blood sugar and to keep it from damaging my kidneys I also take Lisinopril. Is there a blood sugar medication that won't damage your kidneys and/or you don't have to take an additional medication with

If there is. I don't know of one. I am on Actos 30mg., which is supposed to keep your kidneys healthy, Gluccotrol, and Januvia. Have been on Januvia about two months. Seems to be control the blood sugar pretty well.

For the past 6 months I atke Glipizide along with my insulin and it's a winning combination for me.

Unfortunately, taking only 1 pill and I've tried them all, did not work at all, I ended up on insulin shots. Now I have to keep taking the insulin, bht the Glipizide, which I take twice a day, works well.

Good luck.
