Liberty Medical is the most incompetent supplier of diabetes pump supplies. First, they don't answer their phone and they don't return calls from their voicemail. One has to keep calling every 5 minutes to get someone on the phone. Then, they put me through a huge amount of paperwork that wasn't required by my insurance company. I called my insurance company and they told me that Liberty Medical gave me the wrong information. I'm approved for pump supplies regardless of who supplies them. My insurance company told me to call ___ and cancel my pump supplies. Then, have Liberty Medical call for an authorization number. I canceled my supplies from ____. But, no supplies from Liberty Medical. Unfortunately, they are the only supplier of Omnipods that accepts insurance.

I decided to go through Liberty's healthcare professional division and explained my problems. They got everything done and shipped my pods 1 hour later.

You can also get the pods through Byram Healthcare. I used to use them when I first got my Omni Pod, but my insurance no longer accepted Byram as a contracted supplier. Also try calling your insurance and see who they have listed as contracted suppliers for your pods. They should be able to give you some companies. I would also try to contact Insulet and see if they can help you out. Anytime I've ever had any issues with my pods Insulet has always been super-helpful!

I get my pods from Edge Park Medical Supply. They accept insurance and are fairly easy to work with. I've only had a few issues in the past with getting my supplies on time, but it was a scheduling problem and miscommunication with them and my insurance. It's all settled now and things are going pretty good (knock on wood). Try them and see if they accept your insurance.
