We plan our meals a week in advance and post it on the frige

Daily: now I have a new "toy" so I am now testing the temperature of my feet with my new TempTouch dermal thermometer. Way cool! I log it just like I do my BG numbers and take it to my doctor.

Gabby, I never heard of it. Would you like to tell me a little more information about this feet thermometer?

It is really neat. What it does is test the temperature of your foot in 6 different spots where ulcers tend to develop. You measure the temp at each spot and write it down, then you do the same on the other foot. If you see a difference from one foot to the other of more than 4 degrees, you are supposed to call your doctor.

It is very easy to use and only takes a small amount of time. I did mine today, and both my feet are running around the same at each spot. The biggest difference was my big toes. But that was only 1.5 degrees difference. It is suggested to do it every day if you have been diagnosed with neuropathy of the lower extremities. I posted a product review for it today if you want to check it out.

I got it FREE from the website that Amy posted a few weeks ago. www.healthyoutcomes.com They are beta testing the site and you can earn points for watching videos to learn about diabetes, weight management, cholesterol, eating healthy, complications....and the list goes on. Very cool site.

Gabby, this must be like the thing my doctor uses to test my feet. I will ask him and see if I should be doing this too. Great information. You are so in touch with all you should and could be doing. You are the inspiritation for all of us. and especially without meds or seeing a doctor alot. i am really proud of you. Keep up the good work.

Same as everyone else, including exercise, socializing, and thanking God that even if I am diabetic at least I am still alive and make the best of it. Just take it one day at a time.

I do all the same things that everyone is doing, must pay more attention to teeth. Because I wear compression stockings, my legs and feet tend to itch a lot, I cover legs with lotion, feet too and put the sock on only right foot. Exercise 2 hrs. a day, need to add resistance training according to nurse I saw yesterday. jackie

I do all that other posters do but no one mentioned exercise. I do that 2 times a day. Treadmill in the morning. Stationary bike at night. Also I lotion my feet at night and put on socks.
