Ever since I was diagnosed with Type2 diabetes I have been very careful with my diet and exercise regime. My fasting numbers have averaged in the mid 90's since March. I am visiting my son and his family in California for 2 days now. I have maintained my strict diet yet my #'s are now around 110. Can anyone offer any explaination?

Are you excercising while you are there? PPl are so different but those numbers arent high enough to worry about. Take a walk with your family Im sure you will see a difference.
stop stressing, thats doesnt do anyone any good

That is exactly what I did. Now that I am home my numbers are much better. And, yes, exercise is important

Thank you all for replying. I guess stressing over the increase is also not helping. I return home tomorrow and have an appointment with my diabetes counselor in a few days. Your comments have been so very helpful

Have you contacted your doctor. We can't determine why your numbers are off. However, 110 is within the lower range. My numbers are between 90 and 110 everyday.

Possible nerves every time I would get excited about something my numbers went up but it also defended on how much I was excited to how much it would go up.
