I have been taking nortryptilin for neuropathy for about 2 years. Had to double the dose after 1 year. I know there are other drugs that can be used for this condition. I have tried Neurontin but did not work well. I still have a lot of pain that keeps me awake at night, also restless leg syndrome. My biggest problem now though is that my hands are being affected and nothing seems to help. I would like to know what others are taking. I know that water aerobics really helps, but I still need something for pain at night.

Cindy, I take Lortab 10 mg with 800 mg of Neurontin, three times a day. I first took the Lortab but it didn't work alone. When the doctor added the Neurontin, it made a world of difference. Still hard to sleep at night but it is much better. I also have a sciatic nerve problem and it seems to bother me even more than the neurothopy so if anybody has a sugestion for helping that, my ears are open…Rhonda PS. I have learned that the neurothopy pain is so much less when my Blood Sugar stays low

I take 75 mg of Lyrica at night only because that is when my neuropathy is at its worse. I also took the others you mentioned but this has worked the best for me.
