I find that if I take a brisk 3-mile walk lasting 45 to 50 minutes, my BG levels may drop by up to 100 points. Since I'm on a pump, I set a temporary basal of 0% for the duration of the exercise and for 15 minutes before and after. You don't mention whether you are on insulin (shots or pump) or using oral meds. Exercising will increase your insulin sensitivity, so, always test before and after and have a fast acting carb ready to counter any hypos. It's all a balancing act and it's not always easy to find the right "balance". Wishing you well!

Your on the right track, when I exercise I eat a snack before, and after. A carb and protein. My BG dropped as well, most of the time during exercise, if I did more than 30 minutes of cardio
