I am about to purchase an insulin pump. Does anybody use the Omnipod and if so, do you like it?

I am currently using the Omni Pod system and am loving it. I used to have an older Animas pump. Both types of pumps (tubed or tubeless) have their pros and cons. The Omni Pod system has a cheaper up front cost, but the monthly supplies are more expensive, while my Animas was a higher up front cost and cheaper monthly supplies. The pods for the Omni Pod system are basically mini pumps so they tend to be more costly. But if you are going through insurance, then the cost differences between pumps is going to vary greatly. If are using insurance, I would check with them to see how difficult getting supplies is going to be. Make sure to use a contracted supplier. Contact Insulet and they can send you a free demo (dummy) pod to wear to see if its something you can do. The pods can be bulky and take some time getting used to, but I like that they are easier to conceal and that I have more infusion sites available with the pods. If you have any specific questions, feel free to send me a message and ask! I love talking about my pods!
