can metformin cause body aches and fatigue? this isnt like my fibro flareups. i have no energy, fall asleep as soon as i sit down and feel like i got hit by a truck. even eating exhausts me lately. my bg's are within normal range. which is good.

I've been stressed, and tired all the time too. I'm not eating enough protein, and I'm skipping meals. I'm afraid to eat, because of my liver issues. But I don't want to feel tired all the time either.

I had not thought about my diabetic meds messing with my Fibro. Since being diagnosed with Fibro, I have developed many medicine allergies and am unable to take Lyrica, Savella, or Neurotin (sic) so I was stuck with Cymbalta and Tramadal to treat the Fibro.

I was sweating so profusely, the Drs tried hormones, no help. So upon a friend of mine's experience, we are trying changing off the Cymbalta. I am not dragging as badly and falling asleep mid morning. The sweating is better but not gone. I am just up to the full dose of the new med this week so we will see, I could not even run to the grocery store without literally being soaked from the head down to mid chest. So embarrassing.

i get the sweats too. cansit by the AC and still need a fan on me. and it is embarrassing when out in public to have a heat wave hit and start sweating. i put it down to menopaus, but my doctor said its also finro and medication related. yipppe! not !

Funny you say that. My BG numbers have been awesome, but I feel like crap. I'm on metformin , trandjenta, and prandin. Need to get blood work tomorrow. Perhaps it will give me some insight into what's going on. I thought if I got my BG numbers down to the range where they belong, I would feel better. I do, sort of. But not enough.

ok thanks for the update. guess a call to my doctor is in order. cant go on being so worn out and aching like this. i hurt more now than when my fibro is flaring up.

It sure does seem that way to me! Muscles cramping and feel like pure (mess). I'm not digging the oral meds at all :(
