I am finding it hard to change things up for exercising in the house.. I have a ball, and weights and a weighted ball. I also have a treadmill, however, the same thing over and over is getting a bit redundant.. Especially when it seems that our winter does not want to end.. We are getting hammered up North. Can anyone help me with some other things to do? Thanks..

DVDs, go on You Tube and find some low impact aerobics, exercise bands, that step you can buy for step aerobics if you are able to do those, so many things. I lovec pilates, yoga, and LI aerobics and I ilke many of the Denise Austin choreography I've loved her routines most of them, since the 80s. pilates is more ballet type moves, I love this one she does that is a combo of yoga & pilates. Just go to You Tube, type in Denise Austin yoga pilates, and it will come up. I need to start doing weights more.

We don't have the snow, but the heat in Texas can be unbearable a lot of the times. Especially with the heat advisory. I have a variety of DVDs so I don't get bored. I get bored easily. There are all kinds, mix it up. I also, would make up my own routine.

I try to do Zumba by myself lol. I just turn up the music and just start dancing. I'm usually alone so nobody laughs at me. I really get to enjoying it and before I know it I feel really good. Good luck.

I lived in Wisconsin for 40 years - isn't shoveling enough?
I walked outside every chance i could, especially in the cold.
Walked the cross country ski trails at the nearby State Parks too. That can be a good workout.

I didn't know you lived in WI! I'm still here, I saw you are in NC now. It's still cold up here LoL

Yup, lived on the lake (Michigan) halfway between Green Bay and Milwaukee. Winters were when I got my best exercise in. Much more intense in the cold.

I have a staff for aerobics. I just march. It's not a thing of beauty or grace, but it gets the job done. LOL.

I can tell you what I get into. Although I have a dvd that I do mine to, I did find an online yoga lesson that not only shows you pictures how you are to be but discusses the how tos as well. If you wanted to try it. Yoga helps me in so many ways, it might be a good change up from your routine. Also if you have a Wii Machine, they have exercises through those too which are a dang good workout too. Here is the link I found to help you …
