Being diabetic sometimes you can go there a lot…cause of bloodsugar or other things…

Me? Ive been to my doc office at least 10 times this year so far…

When you go there and its important to me of course, that the staff and your doctor have a good bedside manner.

Ive been to one office I sat in the back for 2 to 3 hours WAITING…BTW I have a really good doc now…

.I know some of us have busy lives…would you put up with that?

In retirement I have more leeway with what I do with my time but I HATE wasting it! I always bring a book with me if I know I'll be waiting. That way, I don't mind it so much. I even bring a book when I go to the post office because the lines can be quite long there. Right now I'm into the 3rd book in The Game of Thrones series, "A Storm of Swords", and have trouble putting it down. I've also started to look at the HBO rendition of the story and feel they've done a really good job with the characters and story line.

I take my dog with me now…and the taxi service through my insurance gets me there early…so what I do now is walk the dog a few min before going in…and if I go inside, shes good company and time goes by quickly

i know feeling i had this doctor for a while and i would wait for like 15-20 mins but once i got back there she would come in read my labs then say i was needing more meds. she would never sit and explain nothing to me. know that i found this new doctor i am more happy she will lesson and will explain things to me.

If I didn't have an appt. I would expect to wait. I am fortunate where I am, as the doctors here are plentiful so the patient doctor ratio evens out, which is different in other areas by far. If I need to see my doc, there is always someone on call, if I can't get him, I will get help and not have that wait time like you experienced. I have many outlets for me to use. I believe that is a geographical plus for me. I've heard others with horror stories because the docs act like GODS as they can just turn you away because you are a bother to them.

I'm glad you found a good one that fits you and your needs <3

AMEN!! That's how my new docs off is, they are the ones who put me on insulin 2 months after being there…Yes Ive noticed SOME doctors think they are GODS and they arent…they forget…being human requires feelings and emotion, not just the disease

I used to work in the medical field and every person who crossed my path heard my motto at one time or another, which is … you put your pants on the same way I do, feet first. There is no difference in us as humans, only our lifestyles =)

I HATE waiting. I would much rather wait in the waiting area than in one of those small cramped rooms. I haven't been to one yet that I don't have to wait. Luckily I have never had to wait 2 hours, but it is still a pain.

I still remember that day too…luckily I lived down the street, I went up to the front desk and they said "OH"..can u come back tomorrow.. …I wasn't happy about a year or so later…I got rid of that doc…cause they just stopped listening

I sit waiting for mine for about an hour. I tolerate it because she is one of the best. If she was mediocre, I would expect her to be on time. My time is valuable either way. I'm just willing to wait for the better one. It's annoying and a bit disrespectful. I also understand that physicians are under a tremendous burden right now. She makes me better. LOL

My new docs office are great…and they are right across from the hospital also…that's a bonus…but I love that they listen and I can call when I have a question or anything…and being here helps me sort of some frustrations I have
