Just wondering if anyone else had read or even heard of this book?? It states that by eliminating all wheat from your diet you can lose belly fat and reduce bg levels , brain fog, and other symptoms of being a diabetic. Some ppl have even gotten off meds. Anyways I was wondering if you have read it what your thoughts on the idea were. It seems daunting to eliminate all wheat products as wheat is alot of our diet.

I started following Wheat Belly guidelines. I think it's helped me keep my blood sugars more level but it's only been a week so time will tell. I think it seems like a good plan for diabetics or hypoglycemic people like me. Hopefully I'll also lose a few pounds too.

I've read Wheat Belly and Wheat Belly Cookbook. What Dr. Davis wrote made a great deal of sense to me. I've cut out all grains as he suggested and have noticed a much clearer mind. That's kinda nice. He suggested that all grains are detrimental to our health. I don't purchase much in the centre of the grocery store so that eliminates a great many items containing any grain or grain products. I might make something out of the cookbook this weekend. There is a cookie recipe that sounds tasty. It's supposed to be reminiscent of Dreamsicles, a favourite of mine as a child. I have a computer programme that gives the nutrient content of a recipe. I'll run the recipe through it and see what it shows.

Haven’t read the book, but the Paleo diet pretty much cuts out wheat products, and yeah, it sure helps!

I haven't read it, but in the last 2 years I became allergic to wheat and whole grain, it changed my diet greatly…

Been browsing the wheat belly blog. Find that I am sorta doing a modification of it already. Thanks for starting this discussion, diabetic diva. Helped me find a new source to use in my attempts to figure out what foods do what and maybe why.

Have seen the book and think I may have glanced through it. I know cutting down on my wheat consumption helps.
Here's a link to the Wheat Belly Blog, by the author of the book. It has some recipes.
Think I may favorite it and spend sometime looking over the recipes this snowy April night.

SNOW! What snow? Have seen more than my share this winter about every other time I took a load north of the Mason Dixon. Glad I live in the peach state.

I don't remember which side of the Mason Dixon line Colorado falls. Crossed it many times when Hubby carried loads from coast to coast and border to border. But we must be a little North, judging from the veiw from my window.
