I have a question. There is no other way to ask this so please excuse the way I ask . Has anybody else noticed bubbles in their urine ? The color is "normal". Yet, bubbly. I haven't seen my doctor yet and wont for another month .

haoleboy 2015-07-22 22:45:47 -0500 Report

Certainly something you want to be sure to mention to your doctor as it MIGHT be a sign of excess protein in your urine.
Did this just start?

At this time that survey which continues to come on the screen really irritates me. I have answered it at least 3 times. There has to be a way to stop that survey from popping up for those of us who have already answered it.

calayx 2015-01-24 22:18:31 -0600 Report

This is truly no big deal but I dislike the pop-up that displays on the bottom left hand side of the screen. Every time I change discussions I have to keep minimizing that box all the time. The information in that box already appears in the upper left hand corner permanently.
Thank you for letting me express myself.

I have had to give up trying to get to DC on my computer. It won't let me in. I have a username and password but DC refuses to remember. I wrote an email for help and they changed my password. That did work once and then quit. I am delighted that I can get here on my kindle. That's what I am using right now, but it doesn't display the whole website as I can see on my computer. I don't know what went wrong. I have a new computer and it is doing the same thing. I wish this would be fixed. For now, I will come here and communicate on my kindle.

I think the trouble might be in your “cookies” setting on your computer. You need to be set to accept cookies from DC, which means your settings need to be low or off.

I cant real all of the replies but I see nothing about the SEARCH field. The real reason I joined this group was because I had all of these weird things happening and I wasn't getting alot of answers. I started getting neuropathy pain almost as soon as I was diagnosed T1 a year ago. Health professionals said that was impossible for me to have neuropathy and sent me on a roller coaster of pain and narcotics that I'm lucky I got off of. I owe alot of that to DC and being able to SEARCH "leg pain" and "neuropathy" and later anything that I had on my mine. I would find plethora of information including a link to any discussions. What a wonderful feature. But alas…now I'm back to GOOGLE and WebMD. Joy, right? I think your SEARCH doesn't work at all actually. I type "insulin" and its says "We couldn't find what you were looking for! Try one of these links instead:" Glad you "updated" everything!

OK, I’ve given the changes some time, and many of the glitches seem to have been worked out.
I’m usually one of the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” crowd, but realize that things do need freshening up every now and then.
What I miss the most is the old selectable tracking feature. While I may not participate in a discussion, I often track just to make sure everything turns out OK. Removing that feature also pretty much all but shut down one long time, well responded to and entertaining thread. Sure I can bookmark it as a favorite, but the notification system was much more convenient.
When I send out messages or replies, I automatically get a copy in my inbox. I’m sure someone thought there was a need for that; I just can’t figure it out.
The right hand column with “my discussions”….. I’m sure it’s helpful to some, but I think it could be moved to a selection under my profile and maybe let some advertisers buy the space. Same with the “related discussions” column within each post. Not sure how relativity is decided, but I rarely see more than 50% related to the specific post.
The search feature also seems to be a little too bloated. Seems like searches include the discussion/post/response body text as well. A filter to search just the title text might be quicker – I had a dickens of a time trying to find this post.
Just my 2 cents.

lanykins 2014-03-15 20:34:02 -0500 Report

Hi. I have been searching trying to find out how to bookmark. Your reply here comes the closest to answer my question. Is clicking on the Favorites mark the way to bookmark a place here on DC? I find so many great places that I want to go back to but just haven't known how. Thank you for adding that info in your reply here!

Nick1962 2014-03-16 16:00:06 -0500 Report

Yes, that’s the way you can do it, then you just have to go to your profile and click “favorites” to review those threads you marked.

With the old “tracking” system (now gone), you would get an e-mail if anyone responded to the thread you were tracking. I miss it, but this way gets more folks to the site more often.

Charlieb63 2013-05-01 20:40:36 -0500 Report

When you comment on a discussion. And then someone replies to you or ads to the discussion. You need to be able click on something that takes you right back to your comment. Like USA today or like Facebook does with a reply. It's a pain to go back and remember what discussions you were on then find your comment again. Just some good for thought. Hope that makes sense. Needs to be a link you get NOT an email but within the app on the mobile app. Thanks.

The android app on my phone no longer works. Someone is trying to work on it I think. After 5-10 minutes of trying to open it says unknown error. Try again later. I use this on my phone-not on my computer (where I am at now). Totally bummed on that! If that worked I would be able to go around and check out the site. I don't have the time to set at the computer and look. I need my app.

I just got back from Vacation and James had told me about the new changes about the site. Well, unfortunately, I do not like them, sorry. I went online to my email and it showed several messages and friend requests. I logged onto DC and on my profile This Pic of my husband appeard that I had just taken in Las Vegas a few days ago which I didn't post on DC and didn't plan on posting.. I CANNOT DELETE IT OFF MY PROFILE. I was upset about that as he was.. Also, I had messages from several ppl that I just could not find. I went to my "in box'' and it is messages from all ppl and all conversations. I cannot find the messages the ppl sent to me or the new friends requests. I really hate ti leave DC because I really LOVE it here and this is my ONLY place I can go and talk to ppl and learn about D. But, If I can only get frustrated and not get anywhere and not engagne in conversations or discussions like before what is the sense of being here. I am truly unhappy.. :-(

CJ, thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry that you're feeling frustrated. We'll do all we can to help you get your bearings here.

As for the photo that was on your profile I'm really concerned and confused. I assure you that our system has no way to automatically upload photos from your phone or camera. I have no knowledge of any technology in the world that could essentially upload photos against your will. But you can certainly delete any photo you want by simply clicking on the photo from your photo page. Then right above the photo is a delete option.

I'll check out what you're saying about the inbox. Everything should be there that was there before. Any new message or friend request should be highlighted in blue. Are you not seeing the highlights?

Hang in there.

CJ55, Sorry you are frustrated. Do you mean your inbox or when you hit your picture and it goes to view profile. On view profile page there are three buttons,if you scroll over themthe highlighted one turns blue
What I've Done
My Friends
If youclick them they show-
just your posts wth the firstone
You'll See just friends activities with the second
And all the chatter with the third
Maybe that is where you are getting confused at. It fooled me at first.

When reading a discussion, is there any way to go back to where you where and not have to start from the top of the discussion list? I hate having to scroll and find where I was when I chose to read one.

sNerTs1 2013-04-25 23:08:35 -0500 Report

I'm sure by now you all are slightly crazed by what we are finding. It's not always easy to accept change, but, in a forward motion, you can only get better. By changing this format, you are by now understanding what is important for us ~ the participants ~. Here are a couple of glitches for me or rather that I have encountered … Sort of like E.T. LoL

1. I will get an email notification that someone has answered a thread that I have participated in, when I click the link it takes me directly to the area but I will not see that persons post to me AT ALL unless I refresh or reload the page and sometimes even then I won't see it. Odd little glitch that is!

2. When you get into the discussions and click on one that is of interest, you have a list along the right side of the page that is labeled as "Related Discussions" <~~~~ those can and more than likely are old (months to years old) postings, that is confusing as I might and or HAVE answered them only to realize that they are so old and the originators might not be active participants anymore.

3. Granted your hands are full with all the changes, may I give a suggestion for the "future" for an iPad user … Please make your app iPad user friendly. Right now what I get to see is an outline that makes me think it is for an android device which I can use at either x1 or x2 it's size. It utilizes only approx. 2/3 of my viewing area which in turn makes it either difficult to navigate or you have to blow it up and feel like you are a blind person reading for the first time, it's Huge? (I apologize in advance to anyone who might take offense to that statement as there was none intended). I stopped using the app and log into the site via Safari only because it is so frustrating.

Thank you. If I could give you all coffee and hugs I would!!
*Hugs* Cheryl

RE: Sending a message from an "inbox." I had a member send me 10 copies of the same message. I typed a reply to her and pressed "Send" but there was no indication that my message was actually sent. I'm sure she did that 10 times. For me, a "message sent" indicator would be helpful.

Is there a way for us to delete single messages from a member rather than deleting all of them? I'd like to delete only the 9 duplicates.

Thanks…Tony5657 in New Braunfels, TX

I'm at sixes and sevens … I like how easy everything is to read but I'm a tidge frustrated at how much scrolling I've got to do to find the bits and pieces that I'm interested in. I'm less likely to go hunting for information now that it takes longer to get to - and this was my favourite site because I could get to so many news/stories/items without too much flitting around.

My computer is a MacBook Pro and I use Firefox (I like it better than Safari, which is supposed to be the Apple version of Internet Explorer.) I wanted to see if it could be my computer at fault so I asked my daughter-in-law to check it out. She said it is the server that is causing the problem. I asked her what do I do to fix it. She said it's not my server but the DC server. I wish I could tell you more, but that is about it in a nutshell. I can get by on computers, but when it comes to more technical stuff, I am at a loss!

I use Google for the most part, on Firefox. But I also tried to access it on Safari. I couldn't get into Internet Explorer, probably because I am using MacBook Pro. But even still, the first day I logged onto DC I had no problems. Then out of the blue, i began to get that message. The old version of DC I had no problems ever logging on. I really do hope you folks can find the solution, whether it is on your end, or my end. If it is my end, I will need explicit directions (still getting used to MacBook Pro).

So you should be able to go to your profile page and click on the filter for the activity feed called "What I've done" and find all of those items. You can select the "Show items with new activity" option on that feed to have it show you only instances where there have been new comments or replies to your posts.

I hope that helps you. I'm happy to continue to try to point you in the right direction.

I think I will like it once I get use to it, but here are some problem areas. I was notified through email about people responding to some of my old posts, one was "attack", one was "What do you do for fun?" Some of these came from different people. when I went to see what they said, it said the page no longer existed. Next, not sure where to hook up with old discussions. You are younger than I, so change is not always good for me, but I usually muddle thru.

I have another question. Is there a way to get from a post I am looking at back to my list on my profile page without going to "view profile"? I used to have a box that told me how many items had new responses in my tracked items. I don't mind that it's gone, but that was how I used to flow from post back to my list. Just getting used to new methods, looking for shortcuts. Lazy me! LOL

RachelChavezCA 2013-04-19 13:05:33 -0500 Report

Gabby, I understand the shortcuts :) One of the things you can do that might help is to use the 'favorites' feature on the discussions you want to follow. Then you constantly have that list in the favorites section of you profile and can check in with them frequently. I will see what I can find out about a shortcut for your tracked items :)

GabbyPA 2013-04-21 11:23:33 -0500 Report

Ok, that sounds like a good idea. Now for another question. This discussion doesn't show up in my activity feed at all. I have to come find it. I thought it was supposed to be auto tracked? Do I need to do something to get it in my feed?
