Diabetic Partner
Does anyone have a diabetic partner? Someone that will help you keep on track and vice versa. Someone to exercise and share things with and help motivate you. One of these would be great wouldn't it? I hope some of you do have a diabetic partner.

You are so right. Anytime we can get someone involved and supporting us is great. If they also share your illness (or problem, etc.), then it's especially helpful for both of you. That's why programs like Weightwatchers are so successful. You can struggle, gripe and complain with others, but also encourage and support…hold each other accountable. I have a number of friends who are diabetic. We encourage and support each other regularly, and it is a blessing. I hope you find someome to share your struggle with very soon, if you have not already. You might also find a local group to join. It's also great to be able to share tips and information, like we're doing on this site. And this site definitely is a good source of information, encouragement and support. Let's keep that happening!
having had the wrong email add. since joining I have had a time finding a partner as well.
Unfortunately I live in a very rural area. It is very beautiful but very rural. I live in the mountains. No one to partner up with. But I am so glad you do. This is great for you. I hope everybody can find a diabetic partner. I guess this site is the only diabetic friends I have. My other friends are not diabetic. Except my mother in law which does not live near me.
Remember, tho', your friend does not have to be diabetic to need to keep healthy; You could possibly help a person to avoid health problems, by excercise and conversation.
Yeah. I need to get my husband to partner with me. He eats a box of snack cakes a day. He is not overweight YET. His mom and grand-mother has diabetes though. He really needs to start thinking before he sticks those snack cakes in his mouth.
