I read somewhere…don't remember where any more… that taking 5000 Mg's of Biotin helps the pain of Neuropathy… I have worked up to 5000 mg s over 6 months …it seems to have helped.. ive had my teeth cleaned twice with no pain and I used to be in pain for days after… Do you all think its just in my head or has anyone else heard or done this? I usually don't believe in these things… fast easy cures etc…

I've been taking Biotin for over a year now because it helps with my splitting nails (learned that here at DC)…I have some neuropathy in my feet because I don't feel it when I get nasty fire-ant bites on my toes. I haven't experienced any pain due to the neuropathy…maybe it's a positive side effect of taking Biotin? I know that it's helped my nails!

I had been taking Biotin myself for a while hoping to cut down my burning neuropathy pain in my legs/feet. I wasn't taking megadoses, but I had no change in my pain level.

Since I am now on Dialysis and many things are supposed to be cleared from the system by kidneys which are functioning well (and mine are not), I have stopped all supplimentation. I will have to ask the Nephrologist on charge in the clinic to see if I can resume some of my suppliments.

Some things work for some ppl but not for others. Glad something works for you.

Hi Kay! BIOTIN is a vitamin supplement you can buy in drug store Walmart etc. It mostly is for hair and nail health…skin.. I don't know why it's supposed to help with Neuropathy maybe? but it seems to be helping some…
