I have a TENS device I use mornings on the bad days. 30 minutes and at least I'm able to move and go about a normal day. Some say it helps with the fibro as well, some not.

Do you need a Drs. rx to get it at that site? Thanks for the info. I had one many years ago and lost it in a move.

There are several site on that page to chose from, but is the most trusted and lowest price
I went through the purchase process on Wayfair and it didn't seem you needed an rx.
If it is being billed to insurance, then you usually do.
Check with your chiro - he/she may have units for sale.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia back in 1984. I know exactly how you feel! What helps me is Reiki. i have had a massage therapist do Reiki on me . Fortunately for me, my aunt learned Reiki and has performed it on me several times. She also does long distance Reiki, using a teddy bear so she can concentrate on certain areas. She ha even used her dog, but after a spell the dog gets up and walks away so she can lie down in a cool area (the heat from my aunts hands gets to be too much because it radiates down to the dog and then to me! Some cats do Reiki as well (mine would lie down on the areas that hurt the most.) - I know it sounds crazy, but it works wonders for me. I was out on disability the Fibro. flareups were so bad, but since I have had Reiki performed on me, I have been back to work full time for the past 10 years! Give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised - and the nice thing about Reiki, it can't harm you! Oh I take meds. for it on a regular basis to prevent flareups, so the flareups aren't as frequent.

I went out to AZ and for the first time since the late 70s I was pain free for the entire time I was n AZ. It is not the heat that gets you, but that humidity kills you - so AZ, being low on the humidity is just the kind of weather you need. Going somewhere like FL , where the humidity is high, is not beneficial to fibromyalgia. In fact it can bring on flareups!

Thank you for the information. I was recently in a car accident and now I'm getting chiropractic, massage, and accupunture. It seems to help some.

Like Harlen, a gentle massage helps when mine ache. Other than finding simewhere were the weather doesn't change, guess we just have to daydream about the perfect place to try and distract from the pain.

I live in Paradise…WA State and the weather is fairly even keeled. It changes by season mostly.

I have had fibromyalgia aches all week. I take my meds, and extra over the counter pain meds. Doesn't help much. I soak in warm water for a while, that seems to help some. My legs cramp at night mostly. Very hard to sleep. Not much you can do for it. You can always ask your Dr. for a stronger med.

I take the strongest med. you can get being outside the hospital. I wish I could soak in the tub but it is too hard for me to get in and out with my surgery painful knees.
