I just want to let everyone know that tomorrow, I'm gonna get my prosthetic eye! Then on Wednesday, I'm gonna have my cataract surgery. I'm pretty nervous about it, because it's gonna be the surgery that's on my good eye. It's my left one. I just hope that everything will go well, and that nothing serious will happen. I hope also that I won't loose my sight.

Will have you in my thoughts. I know this has been a long time coming and so the trust with your doctors must be there. let us know how things go

I'm also praying for you. My wife had cataract and astigmatism surgery on both eyes, one at a time about a month apart. She's having great results! I will say this though, her first cataract/astigmatism surgery hurt but she thought it was just supposed to be that way. Later she learned that it should have been painless. So before the 2nd surgery she told the Dr. and they gave her a little more of what they called "happy juice" in her IV. It was totally painless.

All that to say this, if you feel pain, let the Dr. know immediately. And let us know of the outcome, although your eye/brain may take some time to adjust and your vision may gradually get better and better OR you may have great vision immediately. There are some variables.
