Had gallbladder removed on Monday 11th and came home yesterday. I am a little more sore than expected but that is due, according to the surgeon, to the gallbladder being inflammed and adhered to other tissue.

Not back on diabete meds yet as had to stop before surgery and when I start them again I have extreme diarrhea for up to a week and I'm not ready for that but I need to do my levels come down and healing can start. Does anyone know how to get around the diarrhea with metaflormin? I usually take it twice a day, in the middle of my meal.

Excuse the spelling etc but the pain meds are working :-)

Your medical team should have given you careful instructions (preferably in written form) as to return to our meds.

Get with your PCP and tell him the Met is negtively affecting you and ask for some insulin be Rxd to you to get your Blood Glucose dowm..
