How accurate is the Bayer A1c home test kit. I have read some of the discussion here but not real clear on people's experience with accuracy compared to lab A1c

I just used the Bayer home kit and got a reading of 5.6 which does not mirror my bg readings or even their averages

Got my A1c lab results back. In comparison to the Bayer home test it was off slightly. Bayer home test 5.4 vs lab results of 6.0.

Thank you Kirla. I just tried one last night and got a low reading which just seemed odd. I will be sure to report my lab result too later next week.

I have been using them for about 3 years now. I have read posts by several members of diabetic websites that compared them with their lab work. All said they were right on. Finally last December I got the opportunity to compare them with my lab work. Took about 3 years to find a new doctor. Anyway my Bayer A1C was 6.5 and the lab came back as 6.4. After comparing with my lab work I will continue to use them
