My question is if this result means type 2 diabetes or IGT?
Results of an OGTT (75 gram) tests:
fasting: 6.4 mmol/L
1 hour: 11.9 mmol/L
2 hour: 9 mmol/L

Thank you for your reply and help!

I goggled the OGTT (75 gram) tests and from what I read your probley pre diabetic. A fasting of 126 or more is required to be diabetic. Your 2 hour reading has to be above 200 to be considered diabetic. They explain it all here on this website.

Thank you for the reply :)
So i hope my 1 hour level which is above 200 is not in the diabetic criteria :)

I'm a little confuse..can you tell what type of diabetes you have by just looking at how bad or good your blood sugar levels are? I think their may be other test involved.

Do you have a doctor ??? Ask a medical professional … Here we can give you our opinions yet I think a doctor would be better to receive a diagnoses from

This is the best response I've read on this site. Many of "us" lose sight that no matter how familiar we are with our own condition, it is irresponsible to overreach and give anything other than a summary of our own history or opinion(s).

It's a very supportive group here (although clearly a very small group that participates and the lack of posts is a bit wearisome), but we all know how serious this condition is. Someone with a health condition should always be encouraged to seek medical care. It appears that merely having a "community" to interact with is valuable to many. It should never be taken for granted that each one of us has someone to talk to regarding health matters, but I'm glad you reminded them to seek medical attention.

To me, you should add your A1C level to judge better.
