Common signs for low blood sugar are confusion, hunger, weakness, shakiness, perspiration, rapid heart beat, dizziness, nervousness and/or irritability.

Signs of high blood sugar include fatigue, thirst, frequent urination, blurry vision, hunger and sudden weight loss.

You won't necessarily have all the symptoms they vary with each episode.
Know what to do if you get low blood sugar #'s…you need to have 15 grams of carbs…Test your BG # and if you are below 70,,,take the carbs like 3-4 glucose tablets, or 1/2 c of o j or 3/4 c of regular soda…Wait 15 minutes and test again…
Check with your doctor and see what is too high for you…What ever the cut off point is you need to let your dr. know..Often, illness, stress, missing doses of medications or eating too much can cause spikes in your blood sugar.

Thanks MewElla, this info is coming at a better time for me. All the info at my diabetes 'orientation' at the Drs was more than I could take in at the time. I know they were good intentioned but were trying to give me all the info at once and my head was spinning. Am now getting a desire to know as well as a little more familiar with what we're even talking about.

I feel the same way. Was given so much info at one visit that I was overwhelmed and didn't retain so much of it. Literature given at that time was a lot to take in as well. Just joined dc yesterday and already feel more comfortable with the info I'm getting here.
