Hi everybody!
Many of you responded to my discussion, on Making changes and getting out of the negatives. Reguarding my problems I had with my former church. Well, Feb. 22nd, I believe it was that date, I started a very scarey thing for myself! I completely surprised myself by going to a church where I didn't know anyone, and went by myself! I just wanted to report back to those who responded, that all went well, and I made it! I was welcome in warmth, and l met so many new people. I didn't know one soul! I am meeting people very slowly, I have one that's been helping me get to know others, and what is happening with the church. I feel really at home, and it has given me a new hope! I am really excited about this new move. I hated to tell the Pastor's wife, first thing was that I was a diabetic, when she offered me hot chocolate. When she offered me water, I accepted it. They have fellowship time before the service. I met a few people my first week. I loved how everything went. Now this is off topice, but emotionally its boosted my spirit by 100%!! Thanks again for your responses to the first message.

This is great, I am so happy you find a place where you're comfortable. I believe that it is so important to like where you're at and what you're doing whether it's at home, church, or work. Although there will always be trials and tribulations, having people you like around you helps 100%.

Of course this is on topic. Everything is on topic! Everything in our life affects how well we feel, and the better we feel, the easier it is to get along with diabetes.

You aren't required to explain why you don't want a particular food. You just don't. Diabetes isn't the only reason to not want something. I've passed up hot chocolate all my life! Coffee and tea as well. If they want to know why, they can ask. If they don't ask, we are all fine.

Am glad you found a new home.

Awesome story! I did the same, finding a church you feel comfortable is the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart..Isaiah 41:10 fear not for I am with you be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

Good for you Nana. Change can be very scary but you were brave and walked thru the line of fear and it paid off for you. Great job! I am happy for you.

Thank you! It was a scary move! It felt strange walking up to a new place. But the people there are just as excited to see a new face!

Thank you! It was strange, but good. My steps up to the building were guided by angels! It all went really well. I have been to three services, 2 Sunday's and 1 Wed. night, and last night I went to a ladies Bible Study!
