Hi guys. I was diagnosed 4/2011. I've been fine so far but lately I've been very fatigued. It's noticeable by others around me. Does anyone know what this is? I googled it and it seems to be common w/ t2 diabetics (which I am). I have a very active lifestyle. It's discouraging.

I am type 1 and previously felt the same way.
For me when I got my levels under better control I felt less fatigued, so being a new diabetic it may take time to find the best meds, and dosage levels, for you.
Don't be too discouraged, things will get better . . . oh yea, make sure that your doctor is an endocrinologist, not just an internist, because this is the type of thing they specialize in.

Howdy Tara,

Fatigue is a symptom of many different conditions and diseases, some insignifigant and some very dangerous. Check out this from Mayo clinic on causes of fatigue here ~

I would say your best course of action would be to write down ALL your symptoms and consult with a Physician.

I pray it is an insignifigant and easily solvable condition.
