This is my first posting, I love this site! I'm a type one diabetic addicted to working out at the gym. Today I was just warming up and didnt feel right, I was doing squats and my head felt horrible and I could smell amonia!! Check my sugars and it was 389!! I took a shot of insulin and took a nap only for it go up more?!? Maybe the heat got to my insulin??) I'm on a vegan low carb/glutenfree diet (yes I get adequate protein) so it wasnt what i ate??? was wondering if there was anyone on here that could perhaps relate as its very lonely in this struggle! I have loved ones that care but its always nice to relate to others.

Ah, thank you for the reply. I've been bed ridden they've been so high. I'm either definitely coming down with something, or really needed the rest. I've replaced my insulin and noticing improvements but nothing too spectacular yet:/ worst of all I just want to go run ha ha

I am also on a vegan diet, and I love to run. I can only give you suggestions as to what it might be, since everyone is different. When I have unexplained highs, there are two options for me. One, I am coming down with something. I know I am getting sick, before I even have any symptoms when I have consistently high sugars. Two, I was low, and my liver compensated by kicking out sugar. Usually it takes half a day for me to recover from that one, but it does go down, whereas when I am sick, it seems that nothing will help. I hope you figure it out! No fun being high.
