Prayer List requests

Just thought of this to add to this site for those who want. Would be nice for a place to ask for prayers for something special if a person would like. It would be nice to have it on a separate catagory so you could monitor the ongoing request. What do you all think?

I think this is a good idea. A lot of people would use this. Prayer does make a person feel better.

I like this idea. I like having a central place to come to look at names to pray for. I do try and go thru the discussion and keep a running list. but I will be the first one to admit, I get lost. And I also dont' come on every day. I would love for someone to pray for me. Just knowing someone cared would be awesome. I am unemployed. I am a quilter. And I hope I can make enough money doing it. My husband is working and my son is moving in with us to help. This is not how I want my life. I have been looking for a job too. I have choices and options. Kinda. But I will tell you I am tired. And being diabetic I know we all fight depression. And some days it is tough. WE need to be there for each other. No one understands what we are going thru. Unless they are diabetic. I don't care if you are Christian or Jewish or Protesdant or Catholtic. As long as you believe in some higher being. We all need help now and then.

Why put it into a catagory?? A sick list can be created and if you want we can give a prayer to the people on the list. I am not that religious but I do find myself saying a little prayer for my daughter who has health issues.

I think it's a great idea and anyone who takes offense is welcome to refrain from viewing or participating in the discussions.

Of course it would! They do that in Arthritis connect, a discussion page devoted to prayer.

To tell the truth it had in the past caused a little friction in that comminity from those who felt their faith (or lack thereof) had been marginalized. I haven't spent much time in AC since my pain has been greatly diminished (I think due to my weight loss a couple yrs ago)

I am not sure how one would have something in a separate category.

I'm thinking it might be a place with no discussions, just requests for prayer when needed. Only those who want to participate can read and add to their prayer lists if they want????
